The Good Samaritan Home

Good Samaritan Home opened its doors in 1962 to provide for the long-term health care needs of the elderly. Since then, it has grown to more than 135 nursing home beds, over 15 residential apartments, and a community for persons suffering from Alzheimer s disease. An additional 30-bed Medicare unit is also available, known as the Pavilion. Good Samaritan Home is licensed by the Indiana Department of Health and provides services to residents needing intermediate care in a modern, homelike atmosphere. These services include on-site physical, occupational and speech therapies, full-time chaplain services, intermediate and residential care, 24-hour nursing care, assistance with daily activities and various social services. It additionally caters to all meal requirements as ordered by the patient s personal physician, and offers full assistance with all personal care needs, and daily medication assistance and administration. Good Samaritan Home is located in Evansville, Ind.
