MedStar Harbor Hospital

Harbor Hospital, built in 1968 and located in Baltimore, is a more than 180-bed community focused hospital with state-of-the-art technology. The institution is a private, nonprofit hospital governed by a board of trustees based in surrounding communities. It has more than 400 physicians representing over 30 medical and surgical specialties and nearly 1,000 support staff. It serves as a teaching hospital, with a residency-training program in internal medicine and a transitional program that prepares residents to specialize in other areas. It has an emergency department and offers outpatient care and fitness programs. Harbor Hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. In addition, the American College of Surgeons has accredited its cancer center, and its Fetal Assessment Center is accredited by the American Institute for Ultrasound in Medicine.
