The Pasco County Health Department, governed by the Florida Department of Health, offers a range of clinical, environmental and public health services. The Pasco County Health Department provides assistance with the prevention of rabies, bloodborne pathogens and several communicable diseases. It offers care and case management programs for individuals suffering from AIDS. The department abstinence educator training workshops and youth rallies. The Pasco County Health Department provides screening and treatment solutions for tuberculosis and various sexually-transmitted diseases. In addition, the department operates a pediatric dental clinic that serves Medicaid-eligible children. It offers genetic counseling and prenatal care and childbirth education programs. The Pasco County Health Department also manages a teen clinic that serves children between the ages of 13 and 17.
