Capital Hospice is a community-based, nonprofit organization that offers medical care services through public education and advocacy for those facing life-limiting illnesses. The organization serves more than 675 patients and their families in northern Virginia and Maryland daily. It manages the Point of Hope Grief Counseling Center, which organizes support groups and workshops for individuals. Capital Hospice also provides spiritual, nutritional and grief counseling services. The organization serves patients in private residences, nursing homes, apartments, and long-term care and assisted living facilities. In addition, it offers physical and occupational therapies. The organization provides educational, grief, and pain and symptom management services.
