Connecticut Hospital Association provides representation, expertise and assistance to its members through a variety of state and federal advocacy initiatives. Founded in 1901, VNA HealthCare offers a range of home care, hospice and community-based health and wellness services. With a staff of private duty nurses, physical and speech therapists, homemakers, personal care attendants, home health aides and social workers, the center offers geriatric care management and home health monitoring services. Its cardiac care program provides treatment, education and rehabilitative care services for patients with cardiopulmonary diseases. VNA HealthCare offers various services for blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes screenings, flu immunizations, and nutrition and development counseling. It also provides caregiver and bereavement support services and organizes health education seminars for the public. The center is certified by the Community Health Accreditation Program.
