Community Options
Community Options is a private, nonprofit organization that provides and coordinates support services for people with developmental disabilities. It serves the counties of Montrose, Delta, Gunnison, Hinsdale, Ouray and San Miguel in Colorado through case management, adult, and children and family services. The organization s resource coordinators assist in transitions to and from school programs. Community Options offers vocational training and job placement services. It also provides community-based services for retirees and people residing in nursing homes. The organization additionally offers nursing assessment, inoculation, and medical training and tracking services for people living in group homes, apartments and individual settings. Community Options conducts a special child program that enhances the growth of infants and toddlers with developmental delays. It also employs therapists who work with parents to develop activities and learning techniques that can be used in the home environment. Community Options is located in Montrose, Colo.
