Gold Country Health Center
Gold Country Health Center, based in Placerville, Calif., provides alternative living styles for elderly adults who require professional treatment and supervision in a safe environment. The center offers rehabilitation services that are designed to provide therapy regimens prescribed by personal physicians. It provides inpatient and outpatient services and offers programs in speech-language pathology and occupational and physical therapies. Gold Country Health Center offers private and semiprivate accommodations and provides daily housekeeping and laundry services at no additional charge. Additionally, the center provides daily meals and special diets are given under the direction of a registered dietitian. Gold Country Health Center is a facility that is operated by the Retirement Housing Foundation, a nonprofit organization of more than 150 communities in 24 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The parent company provides housing and services to more than 16,000 older adults, economically disadvantaged families and people with disabilities.
