The Aging & Disability Resource Connection is a free service that offers the public a single-source for information and assistance on issues affecting older adults and adults with disabilities regardless of their income. The ADRC can provide information about any of the programs listed below as well as information about services offered by others in the community.The Senior Meals Program provides nourishing meals, and mealtime companionship to adults ages 60 years and older. The program serves seniors who are homebound with Meals on Wheels; Caf 60 serves noon meals in friendly dining rooms for those who can attend a meal site.
Etowah Health Care Center
Etowah Health Care Center is a 120-bed care nursing center operated by the Southeastern Health Care Facilities. It offers a wide range of services, such as physical, occupational and speech therapies that are medically prescribed to restore function, relieve pain and prevent disabilities following disease, injury and loss of body parts. It also offers laundry, barber and beauty, housekeeping and maintenance services. Additionally, it offers resident nursing services by registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified nurse assistants, orthopedic surgeons, dentist, optometrist and nurse technician. The center is licensed by the state of Tennessee and is a member of the Tennessee Health Care Association and the American Health Care Association. The center is located in Etowah, Tenn.
