Founded in 1987, the Hospice of Green Country is a nonprofit organization that offers specialized care programs for people with a limited life expectancy. It provides hospice care services for a variety of illnesses, including kidney failure, cancer, coma and wasting syndromes, as well as Parkinson s, Alzheimer s, liver and lung diseases. The organization also offers counseling, educational and grief assistance services. The Hospice of Green Country is staffed with medical directors, nurses, social service professionals, chaplains, home health aides and specially trained volunteers. It is licensed by the state of Oklahoma and certified by Medicare. The organization provides services at patients homes , and nursing centers, assisted living facilities and hospitals. The Hospice of Green Country accepts donations from the United Way, corporations, foundations and individuals throughout northeastern Oklahoma. It maintains a location in Sapulpa, Okla.
