At Barton House, we believe in maintaining independence for our resident’s as long as possible. It is important that our residents maintain their privacy and dignity, while enjoying life at Barton House. We provide a variety of activities for our residents that are senior specific. Our programming starts when the residents wake up in the morning and ends when they retire for the night. Our day is filled with familiar daily activities, such as senior exercise, art, board games, music, music therapy, massage therapy, bingo and many other activities. Several times a month we bring in entertainers. Our planned and directed activities are used to encourage participation. Barton House is based on a social module that provides no fail activities and are planned and supervised by activity personnel seven days a week. A daily structured activity program is one of the most powerful, effective interventions for Alzheimer’s Disease.

Barton House specializes is an Alzheimer s care facility with locations in Austin, San Antonio and Fort Worth, Texas. The center s rooms are equipped with private baths, drawers, shelves, twin-size beds and custom-built wardrobes. It offers home cooked meals and snacks according to the special dietary needs and physical capabilities of individual residents. Barton House features a patio for casual dining and socializing, as well as well furnished interiors in the rooms. The center has a single-story structure that houses more than 15 private residents. It also has a formal living room, activity area and a dining room.

Colonial Courtyard
Tyrone Colonial Courtyard is a residential facility that offers assisted living services and features companion and private suites with each of its rooms offering a private bathroom. It provides medication management services and assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, grooming, dressing and toileting. The facility also offers ambulation, blood sugar monitoring and specialized clinical care services for frail elders. It provides physical therapy, skin care and supervision services for its residents. Additionally, Tyrone Colonial Courtyard provides cognitive impairment care and incontinence and disruptive behavior management, as well as dietician, laundry, housekeeping, linen and beauty care services. Located in Tyrone, Pa., Tyrone Colonial Courtyard is managed by Colonial Courtyard, which operates assisted living facilities in Bedford and Clearfield, Pa.
