Appalachian Community Visiting Nurse Association, Hospice & Health Services, also known as ACVNAHHS, offers a wide range of medical services through a staff of registered and licensed practical nurses, therapists, medical social workers, home care aides and volunteers. The center provides services to Medicaid clients through Ohio Home Care programs, as well as for clients with workers’ compensation, veteran’s administration, Medicare and other payor sources. Established in 1982, it also provides private pay services to its clients. Its home care aides help with personal care, such as bathing and eating and assistance with household chores. It is affiliated with the O’Bleness Health System and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Formerly known as the Athens County Visiting Nurse Association, the center is located in Athens, Ohio.
