The Hospicare and Palliative Care Services of Tompkins County offers a variety of hospice and palliative care and bereavement services. The center provides medical equipment, such as beds, commode, wheelchairs and oxygen tanks, as well as medication. The Hospicare and Palliative Care Services of Tompkins County offers palliative care services to individuals with life-threatening illnesses. Its staff members consult with the patient’s physician to provide pain and symptom management services. The center s staff members also help individuals in interpreting medical information and consider various treatment options. It operates a cancer support and information program in collaboration with the Cayuga Medical Center and the Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lake.
