St John’s Meadows
St. John’s Meadows is a senior citizens’ assisted living community constructed on a more than 40-acre farm in Rochester, N.Y. It serves more than 340 residents and offers a range of care services. The community s services include transportation and blood pressure checkups. Its resident council is an elected group of residents who represent various residential areas on the campus and discuss and resolve a range of requests and issues that arise within the community. The facility also provides opportunities for its residents to participate in a verity of clubs and activities, such as game players, craft ladies, quilt and model train clubs, visits to restaurants, musical performances, fitness programs and birthday parties. Additionally, its religious program offers bereavement support, special spiritual meetings for residential groups, Sunday afternoon worship services with hymn singing and special seasonal events.
