Pennybyrn At Maryfield
Pennybyrn at Maryfield is a full-service retirement community that is located in High Point, N.C., and offers independent and assisted living and skilled nursing care services. It is situated on a more than 71-acre campus that includes over 20 cottages and nearly 130 private apartments that are surrounded by landscaped lawns, scenic walking trails, wooded vistas and flower gardens. The community also features a library, pub, swimming pool, wellness center and spa. Its community center offers a variety of services, such as restaurant-style dining, on-site banking, beauty care and barber services. Additionally, the center includes a gift shop, multipurpose auditorium, sundries store and wellness clinic. Pennybyrn at Maryfield offers a range of care services, such as weekly housekeeping, building maintenance, pest control, scheduled transportation and meal preparation. It conducts several on-site events, including art and craft making, aerobics, yoga, tai chi, guest lectures, movies, dancing lessons, board games, educational seminars and other social events. Pennybyrn at Maryfield is governed by Maryfield, which is nonprofit corporation that was founded by the sisters of the Poor Servants of the Mother of God.
