For over thirty years, Wesley Senior Ministries has been serving senior adults as an outreach of The United Methodist Church. It is a housing and healthcare ministry chartered to provide caring services that enhance the quality of living for elderly persons, regardless of race, creed, sex, disabling condition or the ability to pay. All Wesley communities are ecumenical in both staff and residents. Serving the whole person in body, mind and spirit is a commitment of each community. We respond to needs in the following ways: Assisted living is for individuals who need to combine their independence with assistance in personal care such as meals, housekeeping, laundry, monitoring of medicines, or bathing and dressing. Wesley Senior Ministries is committed to a caring ministry to residents in Wesley communities. The caring extends to the families of residents and the Wesley staff. Evangelical Manor is one of northeast Philadelphia’s leading retirement homes. Located on more than 12 acres in Pennypack Woods, Pa., the manor offers a variety of services, such as independent and assisted living in private apartments, and skilled nursing care in a specialized facility. Various amenities are offered to residents that support maintenance-free retirement living, such as a full calendar of activities, programs and events that challenge residents physically, mentally and spiritually. The facility is located near the city’s leading restaurants, shopping, museums, theaters and sporting facilities. It is a faith-based and nonprofit organization, and works in coordination with the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference of the Methodist Church.
