Established in 1965, the Valley Area Agency on Aging is a private nonprofit organization. Located in Flint, Mich., the organization serves senior citizens with disabilities. It provides the Long-Term Care Ombudsman and elder abuse prevention and education programs. In addition, it supports the Medicare/Medicaid Assistance Program. The Valley Area Agency on Aging provides an adult day care program that includes social and rehabilitative services for people with functional impairments.
