Established in 1984 and located in Allegan, Mich., Wings Of Hope Hospice provides is a community-based, and independent hospice dedicated to provide care to deprived citizens of Allegan County in the state. The center offers hospice care to terminally ill adults, seniors and their families in the county and surrounding communities. It provides services through a team of physicians, nurses, social workers, counselors, home health aides, chaplains, therapists, and volunteers in patient homes, hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. The hospice offers a wide range of services, such as expertise in pain and symptom management, physical support to ease discomfort, emotional and spiritual support to help patients and families cope, education to assist families, and grief support for family members for 13 months or for as long as they need it after the loss. It also provides all medications and supplies related to the patient’s terminal illness, including hospital beds, dressings and wheelchairs.
