Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility, located in Hillsdale, Mich., and founded in 1970, is a nonprofit, 160-bed Medicare- and Medicaid-certified skilled nursing facility. It is an integrated rehabilitation center offering physical, occupational, speech, respiratory and intravenous therapies. The facility provides activity programs to meet each residents needs. The nursing home works on the principles of Eden Alternative, a philosophy of long-term care that seeks to eliminate loneliness, helplessness and boredom. It has various departments, such as human resources, social and recreational therapy, social work, housekeeping and nursing.
