Established in 1990, Neighbors is a nonmedical companion care organization for senior citizens. It provides a range of assistance services in various activities of daily living, such as outings, appointments, personal care and dressing, meal preparation, grocery shopping and cleaning of attics, garages and cellars. The organization also offers transportation, gardening, pet sitting, house checks, medication reminders, correspondences and recordkeeping services. In addition, the organization offers assisted living facilities and nursing homes and serves the patients suffering from Alzheimer s disease and Lou Gehrig’s disease and other memory impairments. Neighbors also provides 24-hour nonmedical respite and geriatric care services. It is located in Brunswick, Maine.
