Platte Health Center, Avera Health, established in 1949 by the area community, was formerly known as Platte Community Memorial Hospital. The 15-bed facility, located in Platte, S.D., offers more than eight swing beds and over five acute care beds. The center has a staff of two physicians and a mid-level provider is available five days a week. The center offers a range of services, such as medical, surgical and obstetrics.
