The Association for Community Living provides services, advocacy and education for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. It is supported by more than 240 full- and part-time staff and over 210 volunteers and provides services through five distinct programs. It offers staff support and assistance with housing arrangements for adults with developmental disabilities. Its specialized home care program promotes maximum independence through individualized long-term specialized foster care and shared living arrangements. The association also offers an intensive residential support program that promotes maximum independence for adults with developmental and health-related disabilities through intensive individualized staff support and assistance with medical services and active participation in their communities. Located in Springfield, Mass., it also serves Hampden, Hampshire, Berkshire, Franklin and Worcester counties.
