Glen Haven Academy
Established in 2001, the Glenhaven Academy is a residential treatment facility for adolescent girls with emotional and mental disturbances. The facility serves the mental health care needs of females between the ages of 12 and 22 with mental illnesses, behavioral disorders and trauma histories. It provides family, individual and dialectical behavior therapies. The Glenhaven Academy offers training for the development of social and coping skills and relationships with adults and peers. It also offers educational services for girls in all grades through an individualized curriculum in classroom settings. Additionally, the facility provides pet therapy and treatment for complex traumas, as well as therapeutic activities that are designed for behavioral modifications. Located in Marlborough, Mass., the Glenhaven Academy is a part of the Justice Resource Institute, which was founded in 1973 and offers human services for court-involved individuals and families.
