Ethos

Ethos is a private, nonprofit organization that is dedicated to promoting independence, dignity and well being among the elderly and disabled. Ethos offers a broad array of home and community services. Its protective services and long-term care ombudsman programs assist elders anywhere in Boston. Through a partnership with two other Boston-based home care agencies, Ethos sponsors citywide programs that serve the frail and disabled. These city programs include Boston Money Management, a volunteer bill-paying service; BostonElderINFO, a free information and referral service; and the Caregiver Alliance, a support program for family caregivers. Ethos has affiliations with Massachusetts Home Care Association, Multicultural Aging Coalitions, Eldercare Alliance and American Society on Aging. The organization is located in Jamaica Plain, Mass.

Arbor House Bed & Breakfast

Our single suite bed and breakfast offers complete privacy as it is located in the renovated wing of our circa 1899 Summer house. The suite has it’s own entrance and a private garden. The kitchenette is stocked with a variety of homemade treats, everything needed for an expansive continental breakfast. The airy, light-filled suite is decorated with original art and fine contemporary and antique furnishings. There are a queen sized bed and sofa as well as an Italian tiled bath and a flat screen TV with premium cable, Wi-Fi Internet access, and DVD player. Other features include a sky lit cathedral ceiling, front windows over looking a pond, rear sliding doors opening onto the secluded garden, and a four minute walk to a private beach. Life Care Centers of America

The Life Care Center of the South Shore is a part of The Life Care Centers of America, which is one the leading health care centers in the United States. The center operates more than 200 skilled nursing, assisted living, retirement, home care and Alzheimer’s centers in over 25 U.S. states. It provides housing arrangements and amenities, home assisted and retirement living, and nursing care and related services. The Life Care Center of the South Shore offers skilled nursing care, inpatient rehabilitation, wound management, and suction and oxygen therapies. In addition, the center provides physical and occupational therapies and maintains a speech language pathology unit. It has a life care center in Scituate, Mass.
