Grace Hospice
Local Leawood residents Steve and Laura Parkey have been in the hospice business since 1996. Our goal is to provide a work environment where employees are supported and can provide family oriented care for patients and families facing end of life care issues. Our first hospice organization was Heart of America Hospice in Topeka, KS in 1996. In 2003 we opened Grace Hospice in Kansas City, MO. And in 2010 we changed the name of Heart of America Hospice in Topeka, Kansas to Grace Hospice. We are all now one. We are a locally owned and operated hospice with professional health care teams consisting of a Physician, Nurse, Home Health Aide, Social Worker, Chaplain, Volunteer and Bereavement support. Grace Hospice is here to honor the wishes of our patients and families in this time of life’s most important transition. Grace Hospice has a higher staff to patient ratio than the national average. Over 70% of our staff have their certifcation in Hospice and Palliative Care and continued education is a priority for us to provide the best qualified team to care for your loved ones.
