Shepherd Center

Shepherd Center is a 100-bed, nonprofit, catastrophic care hospital specializing in the treatment of patients with spinal cord injury and disease, acquired brain injury, multiple sclerosis and other neuromuscular disorders and urological problems. The hospital assesses the medical, clinical and psychosocial needs of each patient and family to assure he or she receives the most appropriate level of care. It offers a continuum of health care services, from intensive care through inpatient medical surgical care, rehabilitation, day program and outpatient and residential services. Shepherd is also a designated Multiple Sclerosis Center by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society-Georgia Chapter. Founded in 1975, Shepherd Center has headquarters in Atlanta, Ga.
