Southwest Christian Hospice & Hope House Respite Center

Southwest Christian Hospice opened the first full-service hospice in-patient facility in Georgia in January 1987. We also offer home-care services for terminally-ill patients. Our Hope House Children’s Respite Center opened in June 2002. We provide respite care to families with special needs children suffering from severe disabilities. We began our WeCare Saturday Respite Program, for less medically fragile children with autism, downs syndrome, and milder forms of cerebral palsy, in 2003. In 2007, we began our DayBreak Program serving senior adults with varying degrees of memory loss suffering early Alzheimer’s, as well as early dementia. In support of the families of our Hospice, Hope House Respite, and DayBreak participants, our Spiritual Care Team provides short term counseling, chaplains, and our Bereavement Care Program. Southwest Christian Care has no geographical boundaries for inpatient care in our Hospice, Hope House or DayBreak Programs. Our homecare hospice serves the counties of Fayette, Coweta, South Fulton, Clayton and Henry. We offer all our services at no cost to our patients, participants or their families, and we serve persons from all walks of life without regard to economic status, race, or religious affiliation.
