Founded in 1994, Adult Companion Care is a family owned and operated business Located in Alexandria, Va. The center specializes in providing short- and long-term care, rehabilitation and skilled nursing services. It offers a variety of services and facilities, including private homes, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, hospitals, care management and case giver services, and family support services. Its care management services include scheduling physical therapy, prescription refills and doctor appointments; screening, arranging and monitoring in-home caregivers; and reviewing financial, legal and medical issues and referring to specialists. The services also include coordinating a move to and from an assisted living, retirement and acute care facility; offering counseling, educational materials, advocacy and support; and recommending and coordinating safety upgrades in home.
