Finnish American Rest Home

Founded in Lake Worth, Fla., Finnish-American Rest Home is a nonprofit, more than 150-bed assisted living facility. Founded in 1970, it serves the senior members of the Finnish community. Finnish-American Rest Home has various departments, such as transportation, dietary, medical records, housekeeping and maintenance. Its transportation department offers a fleet of minibuses that includes wheelchair-access. The organization s housekeeping department offers a variety of services, including changing linen, cleaning bathrooms and washing floors. It provides a wide variety of activities for its residents, such as trips, reading, arts and crafts, exercises, celebrations, concerts and musical performances. Additionally, it offers a variety of medical and nursing facilities, including various therapies.
