Franciscan Visiting Nurse Service

For over 90 years Visiting Nurse Service (VNS) has served the central Indiana community. VNS was formerly known as the Public Health Nursing Association (PHNA). Its staff includes a psychiatric, pediatric, intravenous specialists, and speech, occupational and physical therapists. The center offers physical, occupational, speech and recreational therapies. Visiting Nurse Service also provides subacute, respite, hospice, postsurgical and colostomy care services. It offers diabetic care, stroke rehabilitation and nutritional counseling services. In addition, the center operates a wound care department. It provides intravenous therapy for hydration, antibiotics and pain management. Visiting Nurse Service is Medicare and Medicaid certified. The center maintains a location in Indianapolis.
