Hermitage on the Eastern Shore, founded in 1966, is a continuing care retirement community for adults of 62 years and older offering services that include independent living, residential living, regular assisted living, intensive assisted living and health care. Its health care services include home visits by nurse; physical, speech or occupational therapists; medical social worker for patients needing intermittent posthospitalization care; wound care and injections. The center provides personal care services, including assistance with toileting, grooming, dressing, meal preparation, laundry and light housekeeping, It also provides other services, including group and home delivered meals, information and referral, caregiver training, transportation, social services and educational programs. It also offers exercise classes, events, worship services, Bible study, gift shop, beauty shop and outings for banking, lunch and shopping. Hermitage on the Eastern Shore is located in Onancock, Va.
