Hinds Hospice

Established in 1981, Hinds Hospice offers a range of hospice care services for the residents of Fresno and Madera counties in California. The organization provides bereavement support programs through the Hinds Hospice Center for Grief and Loss. It has a staff of nurses, home health aides, social workers, chaplains, counselors and volunteers. Hinds Hospice also offers pediatric hospice programs for terminally ill children. The organization operates thrift stores that provide discounted clothing, household items and furniture. It educates and trains life-sentenced inmates, as well as supports families who have suffered miscarriages. The organization is a member of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization and the International Association for Hospice and Palliative Care.
