Lakewood Health Center

Founded in 1950 as Baudette Community Hospital, the LakeWood Health Center is located in Baudette, Minn., and is a federally designated critical access hospital. It is a Catholic nonprofit organization and is owned and operated by the Catholic Health Initiatives of Denver. The center consists of various divisions that include the LakeWood Health Center, LakeWood Care Center and LakeWood Nursing Service. It provides its services to a population of more than 8,000 individuals. The center is a licensed 10-bed acute care facility offering a wide range of services, including medical, surgical, obstetrics, nursery, emergency rooms, outpatient, critical care, swing beds, transitional beds and respite care services. The LakeWood Health Center also features labor delivery recovery postpartum rooms, a coronary care unit and several double occupancy patient rooms.
