Life Care Centers of America

Established with the 1970 opening of its first facility, Garden Terrace Convalescent Center in Cleveland, Tenn., Life Care Centers of America has since grown to operate more than 260 skilled nursing, assisted living, retirement, home care and Alzheimer s centers in 28 United States. Each center offers a variety of services, including nutritional management, wound care management, infection control, risk management, medication utilization management, staff development, resident assessment, rehabilitation management and continuous quality improvement. All centers also use Judeo-Christian ethics in the treatment of residents, families and associates. Care Centers of America was founded by Forrest Preston. Though the company s headquarters are still located in Cleveland, Tenn., it operates regional offices in Massachusetts, Indiana, Colorado, Arizona and Washington.
