Ozark Independent Living

Ozark Independent Living, located in West Plains, Mo., is an independent living center for persons with disabilities. It is a nonprofit center that receives grants from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and Vocational Rehabilitation of Missouri. The center s Consumer Directed Services Program includes personal assistance services, such as meal preparation, housekeeping, transportation and personal grooming. Ozark Independent Living also provides the Telecommunication Access Program that includes basic voice telephone calling services and offers voice carry over, amplified, hands-free and photo phones. In addition, it provides various other assistive devices, including hand-held showers, grab bars, and wheel and shower chairs. The center offers in-home care services through its agency, Independent-In Home Services.
