Salem Children’s Home

Salem Children s Home is a nonprofit child welfare agency that caters to the needs of adolescents and their family members. The agency uses the Arabian and other breeds of horses in a residential program. In addition, it administers a program that helps in combining skill development and therapeutic values, such as self-esteem and -control. The program offers opportunities for children to groom and feed more than 65 horses yearly. It includes stall cleaning, riding and training services. Salem Children s Home conditions and prepares horses for an annual auction. The agency provides a variety of breeding information. It is a part of The Ranch Program at Salem.
