The Canterbury

The Canterbury is a retirement care community for seniors providing services since 1983. The center offers nursing care, and independent and assisted living to more than 160 residents. The center provides one- and two-bedroom apartments with various facilities, including 24-hour security, dining room, housekeeping, cable television, billiard room, library, heated pool, and beauty salon and barbershop. It offers a wide range of assisted living resources, such as medication supervision, incontinence care, dietary services, monthly health assessment, laundry service, emergency call system, tray service, and bathing, grooming, dressing and walking assistance. The center provides several activities, including art classes, cultural outings, on-site performers, happy hours, group exercise, water aerobics, shopping trips, Spanish classes and weekly movies. The Canterbury is a member of The Episcopal Home Communities and is located in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.
