The Groves

The Groves is a full-service retirement community in Independence, Mo. A nonprofit Christian retirement community, the center has been operational for more than 65 years. Spread over more than 5 acres of land, its consists of several facilities, including apartments for independent living, licensed residential care facilities, a 24-hour skilled nursing unit, and Alzheimer s disease and spirituality and aging centers. The Groves provides a wide variety of services, such as fully furnished rooms, special diets and snacks, nursing services, medication assistance, pain management, daily housekeeping and laundry, recreational activities, and beauty salon and barbershop. Founded by Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the center s amenities include apartment rentals, transportation, indoor pool, whirlpool, billiards room, table tennis, exercise room, greenhouse and garden plots, resident council, carports and garages and local trips.
