Tidewell Hospice

Founded in 1980, TideWell Hospice & Palliative Care is an independent, nonprofit organization that offers a range of nursing, psychosocial and spiritual support services. The organization serves more than 1,100 patients in Manatee and Charlotte counties in Florida. It offers grief counseling, intervention and hospice care services. TideWell Hospice & Palliative Care additionally provides individual, family and community support solutions. The organization also offers art, music and play therapies and pain management services. It conducts a volunteer-based transition program to provide practical assistance for people with progressive illnesses. The organization has a staff of nurses, home health aides, liaisons, social workers and chaplains. TideWell Hospice & Palliative Care maintains one of its locations in Sarasota, Fla.
