Brownwood Life Care Center

Established in 1986, Brownwood Life Care Center provides residential and habilitation services to children with severe physical and mental disabilities. It is licensed by the Arkansas Department of Human Services, Office of Long Term Care. The center is certified by the Arkansas Department of Education to provide special education classes to school-age patients. It provides feeding programs, hearing tests, and medical, dental and vision care services, as well as speech, occupational and physical therapies. It is a privately owned and operated facility funded by Medicaid and SSI. Brownwood Life Care Center employs a staff of more than 150 therapists and specialists. Its clients are taken on outings and other special events in the community for both educational and recreational purposes.
