CARE, located in Hammond, La., is a state-licensed and insured provider for in-home personal care services. It was established more than more than 10 years ago, and serves various communities in southeast Louisiana. The agency provides in-home care services 24-hours, seven-days a week, and offers Medicaid waiver, and supported independent living services. CARE also offers long-term personal care services, and Childrens Choice, NOW waiver and Private Pay programs. It assists individuals with daily living skills, transportation, companionship, meal preparation, personal hygiene, medication reminders, social activities and light housekeeping services. The agency additionally provides personal emergency response systems that allow access to emergency assistants in the facility.
