Northeast Independent Living Services

NorthEast Independent Living Services, also known as NEILS, is a nonprofit organization that provides a range of services to individuals with disabilities. It serves the residents of Clark, Lewis, Marion, Monroe, Pike and Ralls counties in Missouri. The organization offers advocacy, independent living skills training, peer counseling, and information and referral services. NorthEast Independent Living Services administers disability awareness, prescription drug assistance, transitions and equipment loan programs. It provides individualized training in the areas of budgeting and personal finance, cooking, lease and tenant responsibilities, recreation, computer, reading, and pre-employment and interpersonal skills. Additionally, the organization offers benefits counseling on topics related to social security and private disability benefits, Medicaid, Medicare and subsidized housing.
