Fair Haven, a Birmingham Methodist Home retirement community, provides a range of senior living care services. Its facilities include independent apartments, assisted living, SCALF memory care assisted living, short-term rehabilitation, long-term nursing home care, and Alzheimer's and dementia care . The center provides assistance with activities of daily living and personal safety, emergency call system, nutritious meals, and assistance with personal hygiene, bathing and dressing. It also provides individual heating and air conditioning units, linen and personal laundry, 24-hour supervision, social and leisure activities, smoke detectors and sprinkler systems. In addition, the center organizes recreation arts and crafts exercise classes, special events, and special trips and outings. Fair Haven has been operational since 1961 and is located in Birmingham, Ala.
