Founded in 1942, the Floyd Medical Center is a system of health care providers that serves northwest Georgia and northeast Alabama. The center is one of the largest employers in Floyd County, Ga. It has a staff of more than 2,000 employees. The Floyd Medical Center operates a 300-plus-bed facility that provides a range of health care services. It is accredited by The Joint Commission.
