Paraquad

Paraquad, one of the oldest Centers for Independent Living in the country, was founded in 1970 with a mission to empower people with disabilities to increase their independence through choice and opportunity. Today, that idea has blossomed into 22 diverse service areas, addressing the ever changing needs of individuals with all types of disabilities. Our Independent Living Program encourages people with many types of disabilities to create a plan for increased independence. We provide a professional assessment of needs and options, and offer skill training. Our Housing Program works with individuals to modify their homes for greater accessibility.
